Work in Agriculture Skill Set Course

Want to upskill in the agricultural sector?

The Work in Agriculture Skill Set is the first in a series of skill sets that target specific skill requirements for agriculture and rural employment.

This new skill set is the ideal introductory training opportunity for new entrants to the agricultural industry. Participants will gain a solid foundation in essential farming skills including health and safety, chemical handling, modern tractor and machinery operation and weed control.

On completion of this skill set students will receive a Statement of Attainment for the seven nationally recognised units of competency in which they are deemed competent. These units can contribute to full qualifications (see further study options below).Face-to-face training will be delivered at Muresk Institute in two blocks:

  • Block one: 31 August – 4 September (5 days)
  • Block two: 9 September – 11 September (3 days)

This Skill Set is part of the WA Government’s new FREE job ready skill sets. Youth, concession students and displaced workers pay nothing – that’s no course or resource fees. Accommodation is $33 per night.
